2018 MAZDA CX-3

The Mazda CX-3 leverages an efficient 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine to deliver fuel efficient transport in the mini-crossover segment, without hybrid powertrain components. In fact, the CX-3’s light weighting strategy gives it a significant weight advantage across the segment, coming in at 483 pounds lighter than the average curb weight in class. Less resources translates to reduced environmental footprint, increased operational efficiency and reduced life-cycle operating costs.

The Mazda CX-3 once again performed exceptionally well in the Automotive Science Group’s (ASG) 2018 Automotive Performance Index™ (API). With an EPA estimated 34 MPG highway (29city/34 hwy/31 combined), the CX-3 outperforms competitors in class by an average 4 MPG with leading fuel economy in the mini crossover segment, earning ASG’s 2018 Best All-Around Performance award.

ASG’s all-around performance analysis is a comprehensive data-driven assessment, analyzing economic, environmental and social performance indicators across a vehicle’s life-cycle, and in relative comparison to all 81 mini crossovers assessed in ASG’s 2018 study.

The CX-3 also earned a class leading environmental performance rating, outperforming all vehicles in its segment with the smallest carbon footprint in class, and earning ASG’s Best Environmental Performance award. The CX-3’s carbon footprint is 14% smaller than the average vehicle in class, according to ASG’s findings.
