ASG’s annual study found the Tesla Model X to hold the smallest environmental footprint among all 372 SUVs assessed, earning the distinguished Best Environmental Performance award in as many consecutive years as the Model X has been on the market. ASG found the Model X to produce 44% less CO2-e emissions over the first 6.5 years in its life-cycle, when compared to the average model year 2018 SUV assessed in the study.

The Model X's all-electric powertrain, with an EPA estimated 238-mile all electric driving range, leverages the increasingly cleaner U.S. power grid as a fuel source to significantly increase the environmental benefits of the electric powertrain in 2018, and across future years.
